You Can Have It All by lisa-im-laerm You Can Have It All by lisa-im-laerm
...but the price might be higher then you can imagine ;)

Made this one, while reading, Jan Yoors "the Gypsies". He lived a while with gypsies as he was a very young boy, from a belgian family [link]
I wouldn't like to live that way, but I can understand, why people want...
It' s a nice book and inspired me for "you can have it all".

The name, I took from a song again :) Band: Böhse Onkelz, name of the song: "Du kannst alles haben" (You can have it all). I just love that song and even after listening it a million times, it still makes me smile. The singer says to a girl, that she can have everything from him, what she wants, his love, his life etc. :blahblah: and his anger, his hate, his lies... :giggle:
he simply says the truth ;)
One good sentence in this song is "Maybe I'm not the right one for you" or "Let me complicate your life...and I will always be, there for you"

I thought about, to took one of them as the name of this painting/drawing, but I decided just to take the title of the song, the rest is already in it:)

The drawing is about adoring something or someone, without knowing or imagine what could be behind.

And I guess the Dalai Lama said something like that, that it can be a great luck, not receiving, what you want ;)

You mean "Be careful what you wish for."
A beautiful picture filled with great detail and a wonderful flowing sense of motion from the draping clothes resolving into what appears to be flame. Full of sinister temptation. :D

Oh, okay, lol. I will google that up ~thanks.

I have two air purifiers in my apartment but only because it can get dusty at times and summer over here have been cooler than usual. For me, what I've done so far have taken me four days each session but I add the extra day just for good measure.

This is an old one, I just didn't put it here:) this one didn't took so much time and the paper isn't too big;) It's like a paper you would use for writing a letter, the big ones take more time, soon I will put here again one of thems, that one took a little bit more:D Next week, I think...
How long? I really don't know, cause I take a paper between doing other things and draw a little bit, maybe half or one hour, sometimes two, but not often. In oil between 3-5 hours, cause you have to prepare some things for it...and you easily forget the passing of time with oil, don't know why:/ Then I do something different and then it is finnished someday, but I never counted the hours:) It often happened that i forgot one piece and found it after one year or longer and finnished it then, so it is really not possible for me to tell. "Strange Love" is one of these ones;) The girl is much, much older then the rest, you can see it from the colours...
It isn't work!!! I enjoy it much more then the most things in life! And I could make much, much more, I'm just wasting a lots of time for totally not important things:(

"shake the disease" is my favorite, it touches me somehow in a very special way, melody, text... :) I'll put that song already for a drawing, but a sentence which is in that song "In spirit I'll be there" with the two demons, cause that was a drawing, I do totally dont know how I made it! It was suddenly finnished and I had a lots to do at that times, lots of stress, too, no time etc, but somehow... really don't know :chix0r:
;) But I love, love, love "strange love", "personal jesus"..., too! :blahblah:

Thank you for "professional", but I think I'm too difficult in that way, to make it as a job. I love my privacy, too much and other things...

what's your favorite song?

Hm, didn't see it that way, but it is logical, that it could be, yes ;)
No, without the yellow, it was difficult for the eye to find it out what it could be, it was mixed somehow with the surrounding, thats why I made it yellow, on my table there was a yellow pen :D

It worked, it is clearly distinctive. And it draws focus on to the girls face.

This is how I viewed this image.

The yellow of the bag gets your focus and then the sweeping curves lead your eye to the girl’s face. Your focus escapes the face by which the elongated neck leads the eye down the figure to base of the image. At the base of the image your eye abruptly stops. The flame like pattern of the clothing folds then leads your eye back up the image to the figures in the top right. Which the jaw line of the two figures of men in the background top right contains your composition, as they mirror the curve of the bag, which brings you back to the golden bag.

The curve of the jaw line stops you eye from leaving the picture even though they are partial faces.

If this was not intentional it still has all the right elements of a well constructed composition. Some people are lucky enough to be able to create this type of composition without even knowing they are doing it, others have to work at it.

This type of composition control is common throughout your artwork, whether intentional or not. This may be the reason I admire your work so much.

I hope this is of help to you.

Think about this, you instinctively knew that you needed to do something with the bag, because it got lost in the image. What if it was a dark purple pencil or pen that was on the table instead of the yellow? Would you have used it different?

THANKS A LOT!

Some people have to use rules to construct it and some people can do it naturally. It is like photography, some people will take well composed pictures and say “I only pointed the camera and pressed the button”, but for the viewer the image has followed a set of rules knowingly or not to make a judgment on that image to make appear as a pleasing image to the eye. The content is secondary.

You take a look at any one of your images and consciously note how you navigate through any one of your artworks. Note the fist point you look at and then note where you go from there.

The Renaissance artists perfected the art of composition to a mathematical perfection. A good example of this is the ‘Virgin of the Rocks’ by Leonardo da Vinci (either version) [link] Note the more obvious control in the Paris version with the pointing hand of the angel.

As child I was totally a fan of Leonardo da Vinci :D I was always searching for pics or books from or about him, now it is better:) But I still think he was a genius!
I normally looked first in the eyes and the face of "You can have it all", cause I started with the eyes and the face, then the body, after that i made the "flames" or whatever they might be ;) and then the hands, the bag and the men I made parallel, a little bit men, a little bit bag, yellow was the last thing I did, it is diffucult for me to see it in a different way then I've made it and it is very, very, very interesting for me, that other people see it in a different way then I do!!!
